Scam Watch: 6 New Tokens Show Risk Signals Today
Of 1,899 new tokens created in the last 24 hours, 6 were flagged as risky by TheBitTimes scanner. Each one either has a single wallet holding 80% or more of supply, or shows liquidity measured at zero with no market price. None carries the scanner's direct scam flag in this window.
Which new tokens were flagged today?
The table below lists every risky token from the window. Liquidity is shown only where it was reported; for one token it is not reported, which is different from zero.
| Token | Network | Holders | Top holder | Liquidity (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YUGS | BSC | 84,685 | 80% | 299,180 |
| Bloom Energy (BEB) | BSC | 155 | 95.9% | Not reported |
| BABYWUKONG (BWUKONG) | ETH | 123 | 79.6% | 0 |
| ID AGENT CURVE (CURVE) | BSC | 121 | 38.9% | 0 |
| NOTHING | ETH | 85 | 87.8% | 0 |
| Buzz Lightyear (BUZZ) | ETH | 53 | 93.7% | 0 |
All six were created on 23 October 2026 (UTC). Their holder data passed the consistency check, so the holder percentages above are usable.
What makes these tokens risky?
The scanner uses three reason codes. Each one points to a measurable weakness rather than a guess about intent.
- scam_flag: the TheBitTimes scanner marked the token directly. No token in today's window carries this flag.
- top_holder_over_80pct: one wallet holds 80% or more of supply. This applies to YUGS (top wallet 80%), Bloom Energy (95.9%), NOTHING (87.8%) and Buzz Lightyear (93.7%). A holder with that share can move the price alone by selling.
- zero_liquidity: liquidity was measured at 0 and the token has no market price. This applies to BABYWUKONG, ID AGENT CURVE, NOTHING and Buzz Lightyear. Without liquidity there is nothing to trade against, so holders may be unable to sell.
Two tokens trigger both codes: NOTHING and Buzz Lightyear. They combine a dominant wallet with no measured liquidity, which is the weakest profile in this list.
Context matters. YUGS has 84,685 holders and reported liquidity of 299,180 USD, so its only signal is the top-wallet share, sitting exactly at the 80% threshold. BABYWUKONG's top holder is at 79.6%, just under that threshold; it appears here because of zero liquidity. ID AGENT CURVE has the lowest top-holder share in the table at 38.9%, yet its liquidity is measured at 0.
For Bloom Energy, liquidity is not reported in the data, so we cannot say whether a pool exists. Its signal is the 95.9% top-wallet share across 155 holders.
How can you check a token before buying?
A short checklist reduces the chance of buying into a trap. It applies to any new token on any network.
- Check the top holder share. A single wallet with most of the supply is a concentration risk. Exclude exchange or burn addresses before judging.
- Confirm liquidity exists. Look for a measured liquidity figure. If it is zero or not reported, treat the token as untradeable until proven otherwise.
- Look at holder count and age. A brand-new token with few holders has little history to judge. Many holders do not remove the other risks.
- Verify the contract address. Copy it from a trusted token page, not from a message or advert, because copies of popular names are common.
- Test small and read the permissions. Check whether the contract can block sells or mint more supply before committing any amount.

Methodology & data
Data source: TheBitTimes on-chain token database. Snapshot time: 2026-10-24 02:38 UTC. Window: tokens created since 2026-10-23 02:38 UTC, which covers 1,899 new tokens.
Criteria used: top holder at 80% or more of supply; liquidity measured at 0 with no market price; or a scam flag from the TheBitTimes scanner. A token needs at least one of these to appear. Tokens already covered by an AI post in the last 30 days are excluded from the feed, and tokens with inconsistent holder data would be excluded from the holder figures. Where liquidity is not reported, we say so instead of treating it as zero.
A flag is a risk signal drawn from on-chain data, not proof of fraud or of a project's intent. This article is for information only and is not financial advice.
